Yesterday We Are Monsters had it’s Oklahoma premiere at the Lyric Theatre Thelma Gaylord Academy. Here’s what the director, Stephen Hilton, had to say about his experience:

Denver – Thanks so much. And let me tell you, we have had a BALL putting this show together. Everyone involved, from my choreographers to the littlest monster, have nothing but good things to say about it. The tunes are so catchy, the lyrics clever, the characters accessible and fun, and such a positive story. And with the online “trailers” we’ve created, plus word-of-mouth on the street, our ticket sales are just great. This has been the most positive “Camp” experience I’ve had. I look forward to producing one of your other shows when the opportunity arises. I’ve attached a couple of pics from our photoshoot yesterday. Hi! we are doing monsters in Germany this Fall – I have to ask about your werewolves headgear – did you make them yourselves – or buy in? I love them as they leave the face completely free for expression and, well acting! Would love a tip!!TG

Our brilliant costume designer, Jeffrey Meek, found them online. I’ve emailed him and asked for the details. Once he gets back to me, I’ll get the info to you. And you’re right. They were great. Plus one of our parents is a former professional makeup artist and did great work designing and executing individual makeup for them all. I’m sure she wouldn’t mind sharing some pictures and designs with you if you’re interested.

Turns out, he found them at Amazon.com – search for “Novelty Furry Wolf Ear Hat”. Pretty cheap and very effective. Let me know if I can be of further help.
