Perhaps there is a ring shortage for some reason (a villain stole them, ring maker retired, etc.) and the characters have to put together this fundraiser so they can gather rings from characters who aren’t using theirs anymore or have extra. Adds extra urgency to the overall show. What happens if they don’t collect enough?
