Pirates! Aliens! Space Travel! Space Pirates tells the story of Gabby, a kid who gets picked on during a school trip to the museum. Everything quickly changes when an alien space ship accidentally beams Gabby and her classmates up to outer space. Things go from bad to worse when the alien space ship is suddenly attacked by SPACE PIRATES! It’s only after this whirlwind space adventure that Gabby becomes comfortable in her own skin, and her classmates appreciate her for who she is.

Considerations: SPACE PIRATES is an ensemble show, with a handful of leads that participate throughout. The show centers around GABBY and her classmates JAI, TAYLOR and JACK. JACK is a younger sibling and should be played by a younger cast member. The show features SPACE PIRATES and ALIENS; each group can be as small or large as desired. Within each group there are many opportunities for speaking and singing solos. All KIDS in the first scene (excluding GABBY, JAI, TAYLOR and JACK) will double as PIRATES or ALIENS. Every part is gender-neutral, giving you lots of flexibility in choosing your leads!
