Beat by Beat Response to COVID-19

Theatre is about community.

Beat by Beat’s role has always been to enrich the lives of young performers all over the world. It’s about giving teachers the tools to run a successful drama program, and ensuring a rewarding experience for performers, crew, and audiences.

With that as our guide and in response to COVID-19, we wanted to give you an update on how we are adjusting to help our theatre community.

Throughout our 9 years of serving you, you’ve trusted us in providing you with high-quality material delivered in innovative ways. Over the last few days we’ve built on that commitment to further strengthen our flexible approach in this current environment.

Here are some of the extra resources we’ve introduced to assist your drama program:

LIVE STREAM – We’re allowing organizations and schools with a valid performance license full permission to live stream their performances of Beat by Beat musicals.

VIDEO RECORDING – We continue to allow you and your audiences to video record your Beat by Beat musical production and upload it to YouTube, as long as you include the following text in the credits and show notes “This performance was presented by special arrangement with Beat by Beat Press (www.bbbpress.com).”

POSTPONEMENT – We’re allowing organizations to postpone their performance dates with no penalty. Simply send an email to hello@bbbpress.com with your invoice number and new performance dates and you’re all set.

ONLINE TOOLS – We’re compiling a list of drama resources for teachers and directors that are interested in teaching remotely. Our team is working hard on this one to get you the tools you need to keep your program running.

Our goal is to allow your students the chance to showcase all their hard work while ensuring the best safety and health of your community.
