Skyler is about to turn 12, and she’s planned the biggest celebration of the year. But in the middle of the party, something mysterious happens – all the adults suddenly vanish! Trapped in the backyard, the kids realize they must create a brand new society. However when they elect Skyler’s older brother, Charlie, as their ruler, things really begin to spin out of control. Eventually the kids learn a big lesson in responsibility, while Skyler and Charlie develop a greater respect for one another.

The leads of the show are SKYLER and CHARLIE, siblings who require strong acting/singing skills.
Additionally there are over 22 gender-neutral character roles, ranging from the energetic TROUPES to the laid-back FOLK MUSICIANS.
The KIDS/CHARLANDIA chorus can be as big or small as needed. They participate in 5 of the 9 songs.

We had nearly 400 attendees for two performances…you can imagine how thrilled we were with the community’s reception. Our cast of 22 children, ages 8-14, carried the show with professionalism and great enthusiasm….they simply loved the musical!

We were able to easily adapt the script as needed so each actor got a fun role and a moment to shine on stage.

I would just like to express my true gratitude to you, your company, and your musical! I teach at a K-6 school, and the 6th grade musical has become a yearly tradition. I have been purchasing musicals for my 6th grade from a more prominent company for several years. They typically contain some tricky music and are difficult to adapt for a cast of 50-65 kids. Not to mention they are expensive. When I came across your company while internet browsing last fall I was truly intrigued. After browsing your webpage and reading some perusal scripts, I decided to use, “The Most Epic Birthday Party Ever!”. What a joy that decision ended up to be. We had two performances last week, and I am still hearing what a great musical it was. The remarks I most love hearing are the ones in which the teachers described how engaged the students were while watching it. One performance is in the afternoon so that the K-4th grades can attend and watch. In past years the kindergarten has left halfway through or not come at all because they couldn’t stay engaged. Even the 1st grades struggle with this at times. This year, though, those teachers were commenting how the kids were singing along and completely engrossed in the story. In the days following the performances the students have continued to mention specific scenes, actors, lines, etc. This makes my day! The student audience understood the story and loved it. They thought the performance was exciting and remember it. This will (hopefully) keep them excited about doing it when they are in 6th grade. I love the storyline; I love the flexibility; I love the adaptability; I love that it’s digital; I love that it is so easy to use every kid in the 6th grade; I love the music; I love the positive message; I love that it has connected my entire school. I am SO excited to try and decide which musical to use next year now. Kudos to you and your company and employees, and I cannot thank you enough for filling a need for educators and directors like me!
